Potatos go in first or last? As in, if covered in water, is the chicken covered too, or sitting on top of the potatos?
I've never found it to matter what goes in first, but I generally put the meat in, then the veggies. I like my potatoes COOKED, so they cook right along with the meat, for the full time.
Cover with salted/seasoned water or broth, put the lid on a voila! Easy peesy lemon squeezy!
You will find that everyone has a different method/methods, and there isn't really a "right" way.
