I saw that once at our county fair when I was in 4-H. Apparently one of the cowboys from the rodeo and his girlfreind got drunk and decided to "celebrate" while riding around the fairgrounds.

Hi evvybody!

This morning I had to baby-sit the owner's miffed black lab. He kept trying to walk out on me. So I opened a pack of pop tarts. THAT got his attention! The dog sat attentively by my side for a good 30 minutes as I nibbled blueberry pop tart and gave him the random crust ofrom the edge.

It was kind of cool, too. A camera was out on the security system, but I don't like that I'm expected to monitor the darn things. When the owner came in, I asked him if he wanted me to put the dog's favorite show on tv. That made him glance at the tv and note the camera was out. Now the camera is working.
Irony: These cameras are now used to track the owner's whereabouts more than to track if everyone else is working. It makes me smile.
And I get more visitors than usual because of it, decreasing the amount of time I can focus on not working on actual work.

My ponder of the day: Why does everyone get their panties in a wad over the word 'irregardless'? Its so much fun to say. To me it means 'in spite of'. Like, "I got some work done irregardless of the dog in my office."
Yet if I say 'irregardless' everyone rushes to correct my usage. Whiners.

Good morning!

How is everyone doing?

Today's anecdote: About 6 weeks ago, my MIL moved in permanently. She is disabled, and cannot walk. Her ex (whom she owns a house with in Tombstone) started drinking again, got wicked trashed, threatened to shoot her in the head, and then used screws to seal her in her room. SO--after he sobered up enough to let her out, she packed up her emergency "stuff" and came to our house.

Then this week, he called and told her he was going to break all her stuff.

She freaked out, so today she, my husband's dad, my husband, my BIL, and a really large friend are ALL driving down to Tombstone to pick up her stuff. 60 years worth of stuff. Greeeat. I just cleaned out the garage *sigh*

The biggest issue with this: they left at 5:45 this morning, and DRANK ALL THE COFFEE!!!!

Dude, I am ready to drive down to Tombstone and whoop the Ex's butt.

OH! I am on FarmBell again today: http://chickensintheroad.com/farm-bell-recipes/roastingchestnuts

Orchs, I'm with ya babe. Having the responsibility of them equines would drive even a MorMan to drink.

I passed a tack store on my way to work this morning and I was saying a little bitty prayer that maybe horses would come back into my life again in the form of a lady who wants a riding partner.

First of all dac, Granny brought my rocker to a restoration shop about 10 years ago and has yet to pick it up. That there would be the only reason I'd be off my rocker.

g's ponder of the day: Wonders if my teeth will numb good today? Last time he tried the bottom tooth it didn't numb but the rest of my face, lips, tongue, and nostril did. And he's doin more then one tooth today. g whimpers.

That sounds horrible Laree. Hugs to your ma for all the suffering and hugs to you for no coffee.

g quietly ponders why her ex screwed her door shut if she can't walk? Where's she gonna go?
