Good morning all. Sorry, but I have no hope of reading the bazillion pages you conjured up while I was gone. So I hope nothing too drastic has happened while I was away.

Friday DH and I were at a business seminar in Fargo all day. It was a pretty good one, actually. Saturday we drove back to Fargo again to take the kids to Monster Jam, which was a lot of fun. And yesterday we had friends over and pretended to watch the superbowl while our combo of five children ran through the house screaming and shooting everything in sight with Nerf darts. Great fun.

I had DH cull the rooster yesterday. I thought it would be no big deal for him, the man has after all killed hundreds of grouse and ducks. He felt AWFUL. I will never make him do that again.

The rooster was just being way too hard on the hens, and getting worse instead of better. Sigh. Next rooster will need his own time-out pen, I guess.

I actually took pix yesterday of my evil minions, I mean chickens.

Overly rough brahma/cochin guy.

He is a bit rough in the mornings, but is the biggest and most watchful of my boys.

Very sweet blue cochin guy.

Weird looking blue mottled splash??? cochin bantam rooster.

Did not get a pix of my blue wheaten ameraucana, other than when a girl somewhere near the top of the hill started screaming and the brahma/cochin and blue wheaten amer went RUNNING up to go "save" her.

I should market my eggs as "laid by SUPERchickens"

Mornin everyone... Ava's got a gastro bug all weekend...it's explosive. She's home sick today. Zoe went to school but has a stuffed up nose and thought she should stay home...I sent her to school. I have a divorce lawyer meeting today...stress stress stress.....please pray. And then I have a dr. apt. to tell her all about me being stressed and the other thing we mentioned a few pages back about my bottom portion of my body but I'll spare ya the details and just let you know I've been feeling rather ill and need prayers for that too please and thank you.

You can see your lawn Nelly!!! wow...it's all white here...supposed to get drastically cold and then maybe just maybe up to the 40's by the end of the week. Don't know whether to like it or dislike it...seems like having the snow up to my windows has insulated my house better? And the heater is working it's best...I have it turned down to 65* and it's still 70* in here?

and I win...I rode the recumbent bike for an hour last night watching men in tight yellow pants.

Must be Monday. Usually slow in here on Mondays. I guess everyone has to really work catching up on everything they ignored last week because they were being so sociable.

I keep scrolling back up to admire Nells' lawn, and the chickens upon it. I haven't seen grass for months.

I am looking at ordering some Welsummer chicks. But I don't need 15-25 chickens. What to do, what to do...I guess if nothing else I can raise them and sell the excess on CL. Yeah, right.
