In my poor Cody's defense, he lived the first year of his life in a crate with no socialization (not my doing!) and once they pass that critical stage, it's hard to get them to act right in public. He's a doll and wouldn't hurt anyone, he just doesn't know how to calm himself. He's just SO HAPPY to see everyone! You know! Cause he's a Lab! And they would type just like this if they could!!

Pray tell, what will being a drama llama on the phone do for you? All I do is hang up the phone, and then haha, it is after 4:30 so the system is off, so you can't call back tonight.....

That is it exactly! She quivers and shakes with joy and hits this adorable (NOT) high pitch that will just about peel the paint off the walls. I'm going to ship ex's obnoxious chesapeak down to him then I can work more with her. The chessie is an alpha BIT-- in the truest sense of the word. In my opinion he created a monster who is a huge liability nd I can't wait to see the backside of her for the final time. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the dog, she can be the biggest sweetie sometimes, but the jerk on the other end of the leash wouldn't listen to reason and fostered her worst traits so that she is down-right dangerous in certain situations (anywhere public or in the car

Having said that... If I have her on a secure leash she can eat the little yappers without getting into any trouble at all. If they were under control (or their owners very bright at all) they would not be loose and snapping at her, if they are allowed to run out at us as we walk by, snapping and yapping, animal control has confirmed that she is not liable if she eats them.

Judge Judy would make your pay half

As long as your dog is onleash on public property, yep....chomp chomp. No criminal liability. Civil liability is another thing and judges will probably make you pay half. Having said that, a good chomp never hurt anyone. I know of someone who was walking their dog onleash.....a cute little weiner dog came running out of a house barking at them...and their dog killed it in one bite. Whoops.

One time, Toby the old geezer was out front onleash with my dad. Of course, my dad was holding the little poopbag holder thingy instead of the leash handle, so when the neighbors chihuahua came running out into their front yard...Toby lunged towards it, promptly broke the poopbag holder and took off after the chihuahua......last thing I saw from my view was Toby chasing the chihuahua up their driveway around the corner of the house out of sight.

Next thing we know, here comes Toby running back down the driveway, angry chihuahua hot on his heels.

Alright, now that we got that out of the way. Still don't know what is wrong with Norman. Waiting on the results of $160 worth of bloodwork though......he did lose between .5 and.7 of a pound since his last visit 3 weeks ago. Which isn't good. His bladder was full and HUGE while we were there, but the vet took him back and expressed it and said it expressed as normal and the urine looked normal.

Checking phenobarb levels and doing a complete blood panel......did a basic blood panel and thyroid 3 weeks ago (which came back great). Should have the result of that in a day or two.

The vet did say that if the bloodwork is still inconclusive, he would lean towards cancer. So let's hope the bloodwork finally points to something.

Just in case it wasn't explained. For all you that flunked grade school science roygbiv is the colors of visible light when broken up by a prism: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
