I live in a very cold area, so chicks have to stay indoors all winter or they freeze to death. Unfortunately, the chick market is very poor here even in spring, because folks would rather buy from the feed stores in town than drive an hour to some random person's house. I mean, I can't blame them.

Oooh, peafowl, I'm jealous. I went looking for some this summer, but couldn't justify spending $100 on eggs that may not hatch.
