Ok... 5 more quail eggs collected today. When do we set for cournix quail? My DD thinks we should hatch a few...

So help me figure out wth I'm hatching...farm stand site mentions Barred Rock and RIR, from the egg color and photos I'm also thinking Brahma, Marans, EE, some hybrid like comet or cinnamon and maybe Orpington? What else do y'all wanna venture?

It’s looks like you’ve got it covered with the choices. I do know my customers would go google eyed on that mix of colors.

I’ve got to get some blues and dark browns back into mix.

I see dark Cornish all the time.

I was mistaken. The breeder only has bantams. She lives in the town my brother lived in.
So Estes is the only place in MO with LF white Cornish.

Yay!!! We set quail on TOMORROW the 13th if your eggs take 18 days and the 14th if they’re usually day 17 Hatchers. I’ll be setting tomorrow night!!!! Whoop whoop!!!!!!!!

I set my eggs yesterday. I ended up putting 35 silkies and 4 bantam Cochins and 3 standard Cochins. I was at a show on the 10th so I had to put them in. Yesterday.

Nice site Estes, they currently have Cornish Rock Cross. Didn’t find White Cornish from initial search. I’ll check back with them.

You may need to call them.
Their listing in the Missouri Poultry Yearbook is on page 24. It shows they had LF White Cornish blood tested.

Holy moly you guys! I just did a 5 day candle (I know, a bit early, but I wanted to be sure not to show kids an empty egg in a couple days) and all of my tolbunts are alive and growing! I have 7 out of 7 so far, so fingers crossed for them all! I know I may have some quitters later, but just having confirmation of 7 fertile eggs is thrilling .
I picked up this to help me with humidity and temp: Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R586J37/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is helpful because I don't have to open anything to check temp and humidity. It can be calibrated and the high/low accuracy is pretty good. The app shows a chart so I can see how long it took for my humidity to fall, it makes it easier to anticipate adding water and leads to fewer openings.
I am so excited! Tolbunts are my dream chicken

very similar to the one I use, I LOVE that it tracks every 10 mins. its important to know if there are any big spikes or dips.... also the humidity changes
