Can you handle them? I read that macaws bond to one person, only. Is that your experience?

Yes, we both handle them. Sophie will step up on my arm or hubby's. Julio will only step up on mine, as he'll bite my hubby's. But once I've got Julio out, he'll step right over to hubby's arm. Weird.

English Budgerigars (larger than the smaller American Parakeet)

"Seven" the Yellow Head Blue male and "Cinnamon" the Cinnamon Lacewing variety female having a fancy lettuce snack atop cage. They lived a decade with us. Sweet birds.

"Rosie" is a smaller variety in the Cockatoo family with rose-colored feathers under her crest and atop her beak-- a friend's pet we baby-sat once.
