I only ever ordered one cheapo one as a backup. I sent it back the day after I received it. Don't bother, imo.
it’s kinda the same as iphone vs droid so to speak.....but yes different fitbits do have different functions while i believe they all measure hr for most part, but charge models also measure stairs (as a change of 10ft or more) this has been an important function for me as my office has a basement and keeping up with number of times a day i go up and down is helpful!
The measure altitude (via barometric pressure) changes accompanied by stepping. I can get many flights of steps here (high altitude, volatile air pressure) just walking into a stiff breeze.

My mom just got me a new one (without telling me, didn’t really want one) but idk what kind it is. I will go look. She said she got it pretty cheap but still probably pricey. I haven’t opened it yet. I may return it. It is neat though as it’s pink instead of black lol but I do not think it is the Charge one but idk.
I just whack them as they become nuisances. Usually a whack job settles the others down for a week or two.
