Does anyone keep guineas and turkeys together? Or is that not a good idea? As in the same pen and possibly coop.

I’ve done a search on BYC and seen people say yes but they don’t recommend it.

I’m about to move my guineas again. Thankfully they’ve done a good job at learning fast where their new home is.

I don't recommend keeping guineas with anything other than guineas. Their different behavior instincts can cause extreme stress to any other type of poultry.

It may be hilarious to watch a guinea grab hold of a turkey's wing feather and go for a ride as the turkey drags it all over the place, but the turkey does not appreciate the abuse. The guineas are quick little boogers that attack from the rear or else the turkeys would catch them, kill them and be done with it.

Gotcha. Separate pens and coops it is.

it’s already past 399,900 😔 maybe my 2am guess won’t be so close after all.
