She's just a mutt hen, 2-3 pounds maybe? Later today I will see if I can get some pictures of her in the yard.

These pictures are amazing. I started my first flock in november 2017 so I'm at the very last weeks of my second year. I have yet to see a hard molt. I have feathers lying about but no one is naked yet. I'm not sure if I'm happy or disappointed!

Yes, I consider it normal for chickens to cause mixed emotions. Exasperation, frustration. aggravation, and confusion are some more common ones.

Some chickens are fast molters, some are slow molters. That's controlled by genetics. It's about how fast the feathers fall out, not how fast they grow back. In that respect it is normal to that chicken. But with genetics you can always get extremes. When you see how fast these feathers fall out, think how slowly some lose their feathers. It can take several months for those to finish a molt.
