To bad I don’t have a good molt this year! Joy my SS chicken is the most wonky looking thing. She used to have beautiful plumage, and a bright red full comb, but thanks to her EYP (that she recovered from but ended her laying days) that comb shrunk to a tiny Pullet-size pink stubble. With that added to her molt she is a little bit unsightly, but at least her feathers cover every area! She would hate me if I embarrassed her

It’s not always the older the more dramatic . In general ?
