I just painted this acrylic study of two of my favorite chickens who are sadly no longer with us. It's a little smaller than 6" x 3 1/2" on mixed media paper.

Entering the chicken art contest
This one of the clay chickens I have made. It’s hand sculpted out of clay and fired in a kiln. I then hand painted it. It sits on my coffee table and gets lots of comments lol as it’s the same as two of my favourite chickens running around the yard, and occasionally allowed to pop in the house for a short visit.

THIS is OLIVER!
At the beginning of every school year, my seniors are handed a peacock feather and asked to CREATE!
With these newer generations.... it can be a struggle to come up with an original idea. I have made MANY creations from these feathers over the years, using either the colors, or the shapes of the feathers as my inspiration... but this was my first actual "peacock".
He currently sets on my desk and welcomes anyone who dares to approach me...Yes...he's SUPPOSED to be comical!
My kids just love him. I hope you do too!!!!!
Sorry about the late posting, but we have had one H%!! of a year! and I can only find time to glance through BYC. Hoping that will change in the very new future!
OH.... he is made from Sculpey and actual feathers.
