Spudley has to be the best name ever!
She was potatoe colored when she hatched....I have started giving inanimate names to turkeys I am hopeful are girls.... so our first black turkey is stilts... she was so skinny she looked like she was on stilts when she hatched. I figured she wouldn't make it but here we are looking st her 2nd birthday jan 1st!

My blurred phone camera worked out ok here, gives it a little artsy vibe

Here's my Ayam Cemani roo Black Phillip and his light coloured Sussex ladies Barb, Blondie and Sweet Pea.

I raised the ladies as chicks and I got the roo from a breeder in The Netherlands who got him from the UK. I got him for free if I promised to give him a nice home, because after a few weeks at her place he grew some coloured spots in his feathers and couldn't stay with her purebred cemani's.
