My last hobby I will post about is my love for fiber animals. I don’t own any yet but I am planning on getting some angora goats next year. I work at an alpaca farm where we raise alpacas and angora goats for their fiber and we give tours of the farm. As of November 7, we had lead 573 tours this year.
Anyways, we have alpacas, llamas, pigs, horses, donkeys, angora goats, chickens, a guinea, and a bunch of Great Pyrenees dogs. I absolutely love them.

I didn't realize poultry keeping counted for the purposes of this contest or I would have gone into more detail and posted pictures... Gee, does hatching count as well, or would that be considered part of poultry keeping?

Not really, Debby. But as a Navy wife for 26 years, I figured I had two choices....I could either sit around during Ken’s deployments and feel sorry for myself, or I could use every 6-8 month separation as a chance to learn how to do something I didn’t know how to do before he left.

Not really, Debby. But as a Navy wife for 26 years, I figured I had two choices....I could either sit around during Ken’s deployments and feel sorry for myself, or I could use every 6-8 month separation as a chance to learn how to do something I didn’t know how to do before he left.

Shoot...DH should have stayed in the Navy longer, maybe I would have learned more too! Of course, I wasn't married to him when he was in the Navy, but I'm sure that's just a technicality.

My only other non bird related hobby that I currently participate in is crocheting. I’m a beginner in that one As well with only a few projects under my belt. I’m teaching myself using you tube videos. I made a couple of mermaid tails for my granddaughters and a baby blanket with my niece. I’ve learned something f with each project. I tried to do a shrug but failed miserably so added ruffles to the ends and call it a lap blanket.
