My hobby #2 is digital art!
I dabbled in it in 2013 a little bit, but didn't start to do it seriously until 2015. I draw a wide variety of things, such as: animals, fantasy, cars, fan art, etc. I mostly use Photoshop CS6 for my paintings, and I'll spend up to 20 hours on a piece, depending on what I'm painting. I do earn some money on the side with this hobby! Mostly from pet portraits! I'm always striving to improve my skills as an artist and learn more :)

I can never get art to come out of a computer.... :bow I draw and sketch with hand held pens and pencils. I am stunned and amazed at Digital artists work.

These are amazing. Some look like photos and some look like hand drawn on paper. Incredible work. Are you a graphic artist by profession or a designer?

It can definitely be a challenge at first! I found that with digital, though it was difficult to get used to - I didn't need to worry about not having the right color of pencil, or any specific tools in general for it. Traditional is more of a challenge for me, though I still love that medium just the same! I really admire traditional artists :)

Thank you very much! Sadly I'm not either of those things! I went to school for web page development, but never really was taken with it. I do some freelance graphic design for local businesses from time to time though! Otherwise, I just do it for fun.

More than a hobby ... I am a knitter. I can crochet and sew (sometimes you need to use these skills to complete a project,) however knitting is my passion. When I was 7 and my younger sister was 4, a warm Christmas brought us chicken pox (haha, it wasn't funny then.) My mother put us in her bed so we wouldn't infect anyone else. So that I would not kill my sister and scratch, she taught me how to knit. For years, I just knit long pieces of scarf-like fabric. When my Mom and her best friend starting knitting socks with sock yarn and double-pointed needles I was going to learn. And I did, socks, footies, hats, handbags and a man-sized knitted quilt for my grandson with his name and the date knitted into the fabric. In the 50's doctors encouraged the ladies to knit, it is calming and it is ... knitting has regained popularity. All the Chuck Lorre shows have knitting and knitted or crocheted pieces, Life in Pieces, the son in law doctor knits! Men were the first knitters, BTW. I will stop because I could write volumes. Here is some of my work.
