Official BYC Poll: How do you name your pet chickens?

I name mine whatever comes to mind. But I love giving them cute old fashioned names or musical names. For instance: Christine, Flora Belle, Silvia, Winifred, Jean Val Jean, and Peggy (get it like Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy haha? No...ok). And of course some classics like Pipsqueak and Oreo. And my kids name some like Nugget and Shazam.

Most of mine have no names but....I name a few of my chickens after their personalities.....

Hence I have a rooster named Weiner and another called Shithead....

I name them names I like that seem to suit them. My neighbor named my BO Buffy, my niece named one of the EEs Zelda. The rest I named, Siobhan and Sinead the Australorps, Mauve and Prudence the BRs, Wynona the GLW, Aileen EE, Bernadette the cuckoo Marans, and Snooki the JG.

Each batch gets the same themed names. So all my leg bars from this year are named after Charles angels, the chicks I got from spectrum poultry in Rhode Island are named after the 7 lost and 7 wonders of the world

Every batch of chickens have a naming theme.

Most recently it was 'ice cream flavors' for hatched chickens, and 'similar to ice cream' for ones I ordered (Frozen Custard, Shaved Ice, etc.).

So all the chickens with a similar name are of a similar age, but they're also kind of like siblings (even if they're not)
