Official BYC Poll: How many chickens do you have?

I have 6! 1 Buff O, 1 RIR, 2 EEs, 1 silver laced Wyandotte, and 1 black copper Marans. LOVE them and the rainbow of eggs! Only allowed two in the city limits where I live but there is a movement to try to get that number raised. So far, no complaints against me/my chickens. Knock on wood!

i have 3 hens,2 rosters(i know your suppose to have more hens for 2 roosters), 7 5+ week old chicks and 4 4 week chicks. might have some more hatching soon.

i only have 4 with a goal of 10-12. My wonderful husband built me a chick mansion for my birthday. It has been kind of hard to find laying hens here in Okla. at this time. Is this ordinary? srolin

I have 6 hens in total: one light Sussex, one Welsummer, one Legbar x Leghorn mix, one other mix, and two banties, a barred wyandotte and a buff laced wyandotte. My aim (only limited by space ) is four banties and six large fowl/standards.

Hello everyone I'm new to BYC, I have 16 girls and 2 boys, One boy is by himself and I'm sure he is excited as I am about the 41 little eggs in the incubator. will have to separate 16 girls for him if I get that many. LoL
Had my first pip about 3 hours ago. It is on the bottom of the egg, first time jitters I guess hope that is normal or as normal as chickens can be. little one is very vocal I hope I have more pip in the next few hours. I'm off to bed this is like waiting on someone having a baby. You never know when they will pop out.
I did do the cardinal sin tho. I opened the stupid thing, did not know if I really heard what I heard, I closed it quickly after I added some more warm water, about 100 degrees. Hope that did not kill any of my chicks. we will see.
