I have 10 so far... I plan to get a few more bantams and two LB hens.

We have 8 girls, no Roo's.
We get so many eggs with the girls we have, we give them away to family & neighbors.
We have a 3 Easter Eggers, 2 Plymouth Rocks, a Speckled Sussex, a Barnevelder, and a gray "hybrid" Olive Egger (Cross between a Cuckoo Maran & Americauna). She is beautiful !

Willie & Deanie hang out together, sleep in my mother's Dining room & lay their eggs in their box in the living room. Sammie is hormonely aggressive & wants to "make it" with the little Sebright hens & kill the Sebright roosters, so he doesn't get to mingle. He sleeps in his own box in my mother's kitchen. The Toddlers have their own chicken house & the other Sebrights have a chicken mansion.

We had 10, then we lost 2 good layers (to the raccoon's) in the last few weeks. Now, soon to have 6 new chicks when mommy hatches them in about 3 more weeks. Broody went to broodin' again and we took advantage of that. I am new to raising chickens. I've named most of them. They are very entertaining too!!

I'm new at this so I hope this Post goes to the right place. Lol
I'm brand new owner of chickens 25 total. I am still anxiously awaiting on eggs.
Had them since March 2nd. Raised from 2 days old. My favorite breed so
Far are the buff orpingtons : ) I also have barred rocks, austrolorps, new Hampshire
Sex links, rhode island reds. Love them all!!
