Official BYC Poll: How many chickens do you have?

I chose 4, even though two are turkeys. I'm sure in a few months we'll have converted one of our bedrooms into a coop.

Still dont really knnow because the turkeys are too black and the chickens are not as black, or white as I would have expected. Still there's plenty of colour in the Dorking line. All we know is they all have 5 toes with some sprouting double nails (so is that considered 6?) and they arent Silkies.
Plus the ever troubling translation of names from Chinese to English. So in the end we're just happy to have them.

I have 9, but after I rehome my possible cockerels, I will only have 5-7. However, I will get more replacements and own 10-12. Stupid town limits...

I have 12 but will only have 9 after I find a home for my 3 cockerels. Don't want to see them go, but already have a rooster.

I have 11......it was supposed to only be 4-6 LOL. These are my first We had 12, but one was a Roo and had to go back because we can't have them where I live. I have 6 Buff Orpingtons, 3 White Leghorns and 2 Silver Laced Wyndottes. I love them all so much

I get 30 broilers for 4-H in a few weeks! With my 4 hens that makes 34!

I have 14 grown hens, 1 rooster and about 30 that my hens hatched this spring. I haven't quite figured out how many of those are roosters yet. I have so much fun going home after work and relaxing in the backyard. Just me, the chickens, cats, dogs, miniature shetlands and donkeys. Yee Haw!
