The chickens live in a large shed from Costco, which I’m envisioning making a 2-story area inside. They currently only have a small 4x8 foot run. They were free range but then wildfires started and we had to really restrict them due to air quality. Planning to expand the run back to 12x15 this weekend if possible.

the quail run is an old 6x8 foot greenhouse frame. Their “coop” is a kid’s picnic table with a blanket over it and dried grass clumps all around the entrance. It’s not fancy but they seem to love it.

My birds have a 30'x20' coop and run and a 100'x50' "free range" space that is fenced and covered in netting to protect them from birds of prey. The space is large enough that they really don't use all of it, so I do consider it free range as it is really no different than if my yard were simply smaller.
