Started with a kit from Tractor Supply, added an undercarriage and wheels and turned it into a chicken tractor. Still going strong 3 years later.

My "other" is the run portion. The coup is scratch built 4x4x8. The run is a 1/3 acre chain link fenced in area to free range, the coop "run" is 450 square feet uncovered and the main run is 3000 square feet uncovered. We have had only one loss to an ariel attack as we use owl decoys and hang CD'S to flash in the sun light.

The coops and run came with the property. Thank goodness the old owner liked to build things. He did a fantastic job and also had an electric security fence set up on the perimeter.

Then needed a duck house (that is now a chick brooder). Built with scrap wood, bed frame and new material. Built it myself, no help from the man of the house. But when it came to having to move it... had to call in the boys. That thing was heavy!

This tractor run type thing was an “I’m really bored” project. Now we use it for the youngins when they’re ready to be off heat and out of the above brooder/duck house. All from scrap material left behind in a woodshed.
