I have one Chantecler hen and a non-standard rooster (yellowish tinge to feathers). Have a standard bred pair coming at beginning of September.

I have an all-white “Ameraucana” from Murray McMurray, and a light Brahma (not totally white).

In our farm flock I also have Delaware, Columbian Wyandotte, & Amberlink. We had an all-white legbar mix Olive Egger, but she passed on a few weeks ago.

I have 2 leghorns and 2 Calif. whites. I was so hesitant to get leghorns. I've read SO many review on how flighty they are and figured that meant unfriendly as well. It turns out they are the sweetest of my new pullets! 1 is always dirty so name changed from Francesca to Pig Pen, and other one was Fedora now is Cuddlebug. She searches me out when I'm doing chores.and just hangs around and annoyingly in the way till I hold her! View attachment 3230176

We have a white LF Cochin.

The white are SOOOO pretty; alas, we have none. I have read how the darks are better for camo and since ultimately they will be out and about on the property I thought it best to believe those that have gone before.

But, the whites are gorgeous. It was all I could do to hit the dark button for my brahmas versus the light. Ahh cha chaaaaaa.

Light Brahmas - mostly white chickens. They are very sweet.

I have never been much of a fan of solid white chickens, so as long as I've raised chickens, I've had very few who were really white, though several who were mostly white.

I do have a Paint Silkie with color leakage, his two offspring who are White and Paint, and his grandchildren, most of which are mostly white with some reddishness.

I also ended up with a recessive white silkied Cochin bantam who was a surprise out of hatching eggs for Blue and Black. I adore her despite her plumage, but she's a Cochin bantam, so of course she's going to be amazing.

Also, there are the Khaki Silver Duckwing Old English boys, who at a glance look white, though they faintly have a brownish tinge to them.

And I have a hatchery Easter-egger who is almost solid white, though with some faint lacing and flecks of color here and there.

In the past, I've had a few others. Another Easter-egger who was almost completely white, an Amberlink hen, a Light Brahma cockerel (though he was heavily marked in black, so not very white). I don't mind white with markings, or solid white with slate legs like with Ameraucanas, so I wouldn't rule out ever getting more white chickens, but they certainly aren't at the top of my list to get next.

Reuby's my Paint Silkie (he lost his flecks some molts ago), Marka and Winter are his children, and Ganymede and Amaretto are some of his grandchildren. Louis is one of the OEGB boys. Wynne is my white Easter-egger. And Dandy Dandelion is the silkied Cochin bantam.
