This is my first time hatching so I wanted to share everything I could with my friends. So I candled all 4 eggs daily and sent them to my channel called Peep Show. Then this contest came up and I already had lots of pictures to chose from.

Three different guinea fowl eggs; all about to hatch. The “saddled” looking egg just developed this odd look at draw down, but hatched normally a few hours later. The other two hatched within two days.

Egg Candling Photo Contest
​

The second most exciting part of incubating and hatching eggs has to be candling! Second only to watching the little chicks pop out of their shells, it is so rewarding to watch the tiny embryos grow and develop from the tiniest blastoderm to a full-sized chick that fills the egg! Show us your best candling pictures and you could win!

It's easy to enter, just reply to this thread with your egg candling pictures and you will be entered for a chance to win!

Contest rules:

1. Eggs from all domestic fowl (chickens, turkeys, peafowl, guinea fowl, quail, waterfowl, pheasants, emu, etc.) may be used.
2. All entries must be submitted/posted to this thread.
3. Three entries per member (an entry is one picture per post).
4. You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC sponsored contest.
5. The picture needs to have been taken by you.
6. No overly-edited images—basic editing such as cropping and other subtle changes are allowed.
7. No watermarks, date stamps, text, etc. on the picture.
8. Extra consideration for picture quality.
9. ALL pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
10. Open to all BYC members. Staff & VPMs may enter for fun but are not eligible for prizes.
11. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
12. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
13. Entries will be accepted until May 31st at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

Place	Prize
First Place	$30 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 6-month PFM ($35 value) for yourself or a friend.
Second Place	$15 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 3-month PFM ($20 value) for yourself or a friend.
Third Place	$15 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 3-month PFM ($20 value) for yourself or a friend.

BYC Store Gift Certificates are available to winners that reside in the United States. If the winners are outside of the United States, they will be awarded the PFM.
