Woah, I can't believe your chickens will actually walk through the snow. Mine refuse to go anywhere near the snow, let alone trudge through it like that!

I was surprised as well!! I thought chickens hated snow. But I think they like treats more so if they hear a door open or see a human, they will get there lol

I lived in the Cumberland mountains for several years. I loved the winters but my last year there they closed the interstate because it was so bad. It was the worst winter for driving ever. When I moved back to Texas I thought I was through with that. My 2nd winter home it snowed. Someone slid on ice and totaled my car while it was sitting in a parking lot.
Anyway, snow here was beautiful ❄ and we enjoyed our winter wonderland but now we have mud. My feather footed boys hated trudging through the snow but they don't seem bothered by the mud at all.

If we had snow every year, I'd (probably) not raise any feathered shank chickens.
