I think I am going to take them out of the bator (as move the sponge I do have in there now under the wire, and then put them in egg cartons with the bottom cut out. I've been seeing good success doing that as it seems to make them work less hard to pip in the right place since they've been used to that position. I also technically counted the 5th as day but I put my eggs in the eve of the 4th (about 9pm) so I think I am going into lockdown on next tuesday evening.I figure 12 hr searly cant hurt, and I think I'd rather be too early than too late to put them in lock down. I still have to do some experimenting to see if I can find a way to add water without opening the bator and as for now, keeping my humidity between 26 and 40 seems to be doing best for me... we shall see!
