77horses, you are a very talented artist. What beautiful horses and ponies every one has. Kudos to those of you that have taken in horses from sad situations and turned their lives around.
Most all of my animals, even my horses are with me because someone else just didn't want to take care of them anymore, didn't fit with their programs or they didn't like them.
Stumpy, the wonder welsh mountain pony came with my house. I think he's a refugee from Noah's Ark because he's quite old! Joker the shetland pony (still needs gelded
) is between the ages of 10-12. Dealing with founder, quite a bummer. Has put a crimp in his training too, since he came to me untrained and quite the little bully about learning. Loves the kids and is quite affectionate to people but doesn't like to have his "busy schedule" interrupted for human activities!
My personal horse is my Arabian. Ali D. is 19 years young, and, while not the in your tent Arabian that many are blessed with, has chosen me and owns me, lock, stock and barrel.
He's what I call an American melting pot, he's an A.J. son out of polish, spanish, american domestic mare.
Some one mentioned their mom's mare was spanish...sorry, can't remember which poster - do you know her pedigree? I've been very honoured to have worked with some GG Samir and An Malik related horses. Just awesome horses, couldn't ask for better, or more gentle mama's.
