I have WHAT in my yard? :

Spring Prosperity Ritual

We call to the Goddess
Spring has begun
Please bring back the warmth
and the heat of the sun

We honor your presence
by planting these seeds
And thank you for meeting
all of our needs.

I do this with my 2 Dds so we have three women, we tap the ground three times turning in a circle on the third spot we break an egg into the soil and plant the seeds in the egg.

Blessed Ostara to everyone!

I like that.

Please post pictures of your new horses.

They are here now!!! Outside happily eating. Ken's nephew brought his father-in-law with him to show us how to tie knots and get them in the trailer, how to lead them around, etc. We are bathing them this afternoon. Wish me luck! Pics when Ken sits down to load them.

I can't wait to see them next week!

I was reading this article that I found from a magazine called Circle Sanctuary. It made me curious. Our society doesn't have a lot of rituals that celebrate life's phase. It seems like some of the defining moments for women go uncelebrated, like a girl's first menses, going through menopause, etc. Do any of you have any special way of celebrating any of life's passages?

Here is something interesting that happened in my family that shows the differences in my daughter's personalities. My oldest daughter wanted to go to a restaurant with me to celebrate her first menses. My younger daughter wants to go fishing with her dad to celebrate the fact that she is now menstruating. The first nice day that he has off, my hubby is going to take her on a fishing trip. Yeah, he knows the reason behind her special fishing trip with him LOL

That's cool Deb! I am making a basket for my girls with fancy underthings, the necessary supplies and a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. When my sister's daughter got hers we did a welcoming ceremony with all of the important women in her life .... it was lovely.

I have goosebumps now. Interesting thread, I have enjoyed reading the post. I think that anyone that can communicate with the spirit world have an awesome gift.

My mom was paranoid. She made us knock the pattern, shave and a hair cut when ever we entered the house so that she knew it was us. My grandmother lived with us and we all got used to doing that knock.

The other morning I woke up to hearing that knock. I called my hubby and asked him if he had just knocked on the wall. He said that he had hoped that it was the cat. How the heck the cat could knock a pattern on my wall, I don't know.

I wonder if my grandmother might be trying to tell me that she is still around.

TCOYF is the greatest book! Someone over on sufficient self told me to get it, and I did, and now I'm like a TCOYF evangelist. I wish I'd gotten a copy 10 years ago, for sure.
