I'm currently rereading Snow Crash, an instant classic of a Sci Fi. I highly recommend it for anyone that loves science fiction and sarcasm. It's a modern world so bizzare, you'll recognize it right away. Probably the best more likely representation of the future I've ever had the pleasure of diving into... And man is it hilarious! I can find humor in every line - but it's definitely a book for those at least, oh, 16 years and older :X Great book, though. I also read all my reptile magazines when I get bored, lol!

Oh, I meet you minimum age requirement and then some, lol. Your book description reminds me of Terry Pratchett books which are more fantasy (kind of) and much humor/sarcasm. I will look for yours it next time I go to the library. I am thinking of rereading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, it's amazing.

I just bought a book called the Mammoth Book of Eyewitness Ancient Rome by Jon E Lewis but I am having trouble getting into it.

Because I like science fiction, I will probably put Kanchii's recommendation on my wish list of books to read.

I'm re-reading thru Mother, Maiden, Crone.

And the manual for my new sewing machine. (First time i've had to program a machine).

I don't care what he says any more. if someone wants to be a <bleep> that's up to them but I don't need to read it!

Not reading anything at the moment, feels very wrong!

Thanks everyone for your energy , it truly helped me get thru yesterday.. I am doing great now no flashbacks, no nightmares, etc.... I think it was just the shock of it that sent me into the panic mode..

I have to say im rather proud of myself today, because of the fire I have anxiety issues when around police or firemen... Its just pulls up too many memories... Well I come in to work today and there are police everywhere as some wonderful (sarcasm) folks were making crystal meth in their room and trying to blow up our hotel, (Thanks folks

I can only send you a virtual hug, CoopCrazy.

For some reason you inspire motherly feelings in me. So if you feel maternal energy coming toward you, that is from me.

Who wrote Mother, Maiden, Crone? It sounds interesting. Paganism of any type seems much more accepting of the different stages in a woman's life.

Is there anything similar for men? Father, Youth, Wise Man?

I wonder if this book would be good? It is called On Being Pagan
