offshore fishing

got a 31 Angler
and a 31 Cape Horn we go on, just depends on how I go with. I'm too poor to own a $175,000 boat, so I keep good friends who can! haha

They are both trying to sell each one for up grades to 36's, can get you one cheap!!!! haha, just in the 80's

haha I hear ya!!

Yep they both hold a little over 300 gallons. The Angler is a 2 stroke too, so it takes about 8 gallons of Yama Lube in it too, which adds up quick.
I been doing this around 20 years though. Got a good trade, I know where and how to catch them, the owners have the money so we just trade that out and they cover the expenses which is great for me, couldnt do it either other wise.

Takes about 150-200 gallons to go to the stream depending on which boat we take. The Cape Horn is owned by one of my best friends, who I just happen to work for too, so that works out really good, get some paid days to go from time to time... haha

You are lucky to have friends to take you fishing.
We have the cylinder mounted on the engine (mercury optimax 135) and the Hydraulic hoses in, it took four hours for both of us to get them in

. Hope to mount the helm and hook up the hoses, add fluid and tighten up everything either today or tomorrow..

oh yes, both forgot to follow up with that. Been bussy duck hunting, It came back in today. But wwe did OK, wasnt great, caught our reds really quick. Tried the trout, but they didnt want to bite for some reason. So we went off shore and got a few seas bass to kill the day. It was charter anyway with one of my bosses, captin buddies . Now they east coast one is with one of my captain buddies I've known for 25 years or so. He said the bite over there for the big ol gator trout is just unreal right now. Just waiting on him to call and say lets go. He's waiting on a perfect day weather, tide and moon wise for us. At 15 each in GA we should have a ton of them. He said he's been limiting out every time by noon. But they are hude, bunch over 27 inches. I can get into some of that. Will let you know for sure. Think we are looking toward the later part of the month for it. Nov- early Jan over there is always great on them. Good bull reds Oct and Nov too, but they are the bulls, way out of the slot limit. They tend to average 36-55 inches. You use 12 inch mullet for freakin bait for them.
