Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

You can get a puppy from the shelter for 35 bucks already has it's shots, spayed/ neutered and de-wormed... can't find it much cheaper than that!

On another note: man there are some funny ads lately!!!

Wow. That's extremely cheap.
The dogs at the shelters here are $115 with all their shots and being spayed/neutered.

$150 here

same for kittens! You can get an older dog for $75 from the pound but the humane society stays expensive.
ETA: Oh, and if someone posts a pet on CL for more than like $20 it gets flagged because they say any more than that and its being bought not adopted.

I just looked and the cheapest fee here is $65 and that's for animals that they know are going to need extended care after you adopt them, so they give you a bit of a break on the price, I guess. Goes up to $90 after that.

Poor Ernie....

FEMALE FROG FOR ERNIE (YORK, PA)

Hello - My buddy, Ernie the frog, is croaking his little heart out looking for a mate. Alas, there doesn't seem to be an available female in the neighborhood. If you have an abundance of frogs perhaps you would help Ernie in his search. He is 3 years old, was saved from a yard that had two dogs and has lived in our pond for two years. He reproduced last year with No-Name but she hasn't been seen this year nor have the babies from last year (a heron visited the pond this past January which is why we have new fish in the pond this summer!) Give me a shout and we'll see what we can work out! Thanks.
