Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

I've seen her other posts, and she needs a "pegmy" goat feeder, she's selling rabbits called "netherland dwarfs" and they look like American/Californian rabbits, because their ears are big. And she wants to trade her animals for animal feed/horse tack. I don't know what to say...

It just strikes me as a little weird. My old landlord used to hoard TONS of animals. Cats, horses, chickens, dogs, rabbits, pigs, emus... She said she was rescuing them and told me she worked for animal control, but looking back I'm sure that isn't true. ALL of the animals had issues... some of them weren't so bad. They were a little skinny, or had very long hooves, or were missing some hair, or had a cold. But others were much worse, and she would always say that's how they were when she got them and that she was fixing them up. I didn't live there long enough to see how it panned out, but looking back I really wish I had called animal control or the humane society or something. Most of the animals just had minor problems, but overall it was a really bad situation. In my opinion, someone who wants to trade animals for animal food probably has too many animals and can't take care of them. And the horse thing still sounds to me like she just wants someone to come in and take care of her horse because she can't or won't. I don't have any horses, though, so maybe that isn't as weird as I think.

I dream about baby turkeys. I want one in my life so much. Not to eat but to bond with and become BFFs with on a forever basis. I'm certain I'll outlive my soul-turkey but I'll take what I can get. I want a turkey so bad, I can taste it. (Oh...not the best choice of words I guess.)

If you have a nice, well-mannered, healthy baby turkey you don't need, please email me.

Baby turkeys rock.
