We have road island reds, a classic hearty new england laying hen known for it's temporment, aurichanas, the Easter egg bird known for its beautiful multi-color eggs, and black ostrolopes, which hold the world record for their laying capabilities and beautiful black feathers. All of our birds have been raised using organic free-ranging technics, are about 3months old and almost ready to lay.
We are a small farm in nobleboro maine.
A: Spell check people! I know temperament can be a temperamental word to spell, but let's at least get breed names correct. I mean, arichana???
B: Being from a small farm, don't you think they should know (in addition to the correct spelling of their breeds) that 3 months old is not actually that "almost ready to lay".?
No pigment. .... really. .... red comb. ....
No pigment. .... really. .... red comb. ....Quote:Rare!!!! A true purebred albino cream legbar rooster. He is roughly 8 months old. As you can see he has the albino red eyes and lacks all pigment.
Albino chickens are VERY rare, and I doubt he is one, but the red comb could be because of blood vessels... Isn't that how combs are red anyways?Exactly. No pigment. .... really. .... red comb. ....
