Welcome to Rent-a-Hen! We invite you to rent one of our laying hens for $2 a week. She will lay 6 eggs for you every week -- the freshest, best tasting eggs you've ever had!

Our hens like to work together too, so they are offering a discount: rent two hens for $3.50 per week, or three hens for $4.50 per week. And don't worry if your hen takes a break from laying. We can always fill your order with eggs from another of our hens. We have lots of them, and they are happily laying big brown eggs every day.

To sign up, please send email with your name, phone number, and the number of hens you'd like to rent. We will reply with our pick up address and a confirmation of your order, then you can pay in cash for each week's rental when you come to pick up your hen's eggs.

Yep you heard that right. I am selling my prize rooster Braveheart for $1...ok he hasn't won any prizes other than "Most Annoying Rooster Ever." If the sound of a rooster for only $1 entices you please don't read the rest of this ad. Just email me and come get him.

Lets preface Braveheart's life with a little back story. Braveheart started as 1 of 7 hens sold to me at North Star Mills where I was promised none were roosters. In the first week it became apparent that Braveheart experienced divine intervention and changed sexes from a hen to a rooster. Every time I went to feed them he pecked my hand incessantly....this was cute until he grew up.

Fast forward 5 months and you will find Braveheart ruling 2 acres in North Chico. I am not gonna lie he is extremely aggressive. He attacks the dogs, small birds, stray cats and anything else that crosses his path. Thinking about wearing sandals when picking up this free rooster? I suggest thick boots unless you like open sores on your feet. Need an alarm clock at 4am that will never fail? Braveheart is your solution. Do deer, racoons, small vermit, birds or coyotes destroy your gardens? Again, Braveheart is your solution. Thinking about getting a guard dog? Well drop that idea now and come pick up Braveheart. Did I mention he only costs $1? He is the craziest **** rooster I have ever seen.

Braveheart is probably best suited for multiple acres....like 20 acres that have a chicken coop in the furthest corner of the property.

In all reality, yes Braveheart will inflict a decent amount of pain on anything that moves but once you pick him up he becomes extremely passive. If you're looking for a rooster to breed with your hens I can promise Braveheart is just what you need. He learned about the birds and the bees at a very early age to the dismay of all the hens. Does he need some Berry White playing in the background to set the mood? No, this guy needs no encouragement to fertilize your hens.

If your interested please contact me ASAP. Braveheart is currently on death row and is slated for extermination 1 week from today unless he can find a home.
