It also reminds me of a scene in "Fried Green Tomatoes" when one of the characters went missing and the detective went into the local restaurant for something to eat and ordered ribs. The detective asked if they knew the where the missing person was and Cicely Tyson's character said no and the detective said the ribs were very good and Cicely Tyson's character told the detective "the secrets in the sauce".
