When I see ads like that, I like to email for a better pic. Then, if they send it, I respond back with the correct answer. But, generally since they know they will either not respond, take it down, or tell me to come and get it without sending a new pic.Nice looking RIR hen, NOT:

I have too many chickens so I have a FREE 12 week old Rhode Island Red pullet hen to give away to a good home. She's very beautiful. We're located in east Knox County.

I hope someone new to chickens doesn't fall for that though. Very sad that someone would do that on purpose.
However, when I was looking for a rooster, someone posted a salmon faverolles pullet. I let them know they had a pullet. I even asked for better pics - and they sent them. I told them if they were still interested in rehoming it, I would take her, but wanted to let them know. They truly didn't know and decided to keep it.
