Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

Wow, that is bad... Diane Sawyer got more than she bargained for when she made this video an ran in to something like that. Growing up here in the southern Appalachians it becomes all relative. When you do find people to go out with that you think you are not related to, you usually spend the first date following family trees to make sure. I know some older people that are married to siblings but even here its not though of as ok anymore to date anyone that is your 3ed cousin or closer. I could spend days trying to explain how my family tree tangles up but I wont. Most people around here are blood related to everyone else they know both on their dads side of the family an their moms side of the family.
This is the truth....The world used to be so much smaller out there...ask my parents and their parents...I think 4-5 cousins right on up through the generations :/

sounds almost like what happened in my high school. A guy got his sister pregnant, he raped her, but still he is both father and uncle to his sister's child...

I agree with the guy (think it was the mayor) near the end of the video if your only job opportunities are fast food and big box stores then why stay in high school. I almost dropped out because my grades weren't high enough for money for college and my folks made barely too much to get grants but not enough to help me, but they wouldn't sign for me to drop out. I had 2 and 1/2 months left when I could sign the drop out forms myself, and decided that if I was that close it was stupid to drop out with that little to go....

I have this Chicken and it just wants to sit on eggs. The white one . So it's got to go.
Really? They are getting rid of a chicken because shes broody? Ummm...

Someone (like me) who wants to hatch but doesn't have a breed that goes broody often might pick that bird up and laugh all the way home. But it IS scary that the person who own chickens doesn't recognize broodiness. I fear for their flock.

Its not always temporary. Some hens will sit on eggs every other month, all year. Others are not that bad but are bad enough to kill the food conversion rate.

Quote: Not anything in that statement to make me think the person does not know what she is talking about. Sounds like someone that knows she has a hen that likes to sit an is low production because of that. If she has a incubator or just does not need to hatch more I cant blame her for wanting to cull it. I would to.

Here is a Craigslist search that never fails to get me a chuckle... Try it yourself...

It goes like this, every once in a while I do a search for barley, hoping to score some bushels on the cheap so I can grow cheap fodder for the goats, llamas and birds during the winter months...

And there is never a shortage of "barley used" items on Craigslist...
