Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

It’s honestly incredible how someone could possibly do that or even have time to do that. It blows my mind honestly
Yeah.

I actually got a scammer once from Craigslist. They were asking me to send the item to a different far away State and everything. That's why in my article, I said on ways to look out for scammers.

I would never send something out. In fact, I did think this one guy that actually bought the snowblower was a scammer. He asked how big the snowblower was and if the handles could fold down and i was like i’m not completely sure. So he asked if we could deliever it. He was only in the next town over and i said for $375 i would because he offered $350 and he agreed.

Yeah. I stopped contact. So, was the guy on the snowblower a scammer? Or the term, "Craigslist Killer."

We sold many chicks sold over the years. Most customers end up as repeat buyers or give referrals. Some have even grown into close friends. It’s a good sign if someone asks questions because you can get a feel for how much research they did before deciding they want to come over and see chicks.

Usually the lowball offers are via email before a meet so it can be ignored. It’s only a pain if you spent several email exchanges describing the breeding parents, sending additional pics, and my favorite- giving advice on how to raise chickens, buying coop, answering medical questions about one of their hens, etc ..,., then they decide they want to buy my hens (not for sale) instead of straight run chicks.

Yet If somebody offers to buy the entire hatch, I’m always up for a giving a discount. Emptying out the brooder in one sale is worth being done with all the CL questions.

Another case of using stock photos.....

If you're going to try selling egg-laying chickens, Don't Use A Rooster Pic! :he

That’s funny, my Mom sent me a link to a white crested Polish hen being sold on CL near her for $10 and it was clearly a male and most definitely a stock photo. I was like sorry Mom, I wouldn’t trust them, you wouldn’t get eggs from that chicken 😆
