Except the treatment of some of those horses that have served people and developed relationships with people their entire lives like retired race horses. Once prized, no longer of use, or failing in health sent off to the slaughter house for glue or dog food? What a sad pathetic end.Horse meat is popular in other countries. I generally see nothing wrong with it. In France horses aren't just work animals, or pets, they also share the same purpose of other livestock, & that's feeding the people. Just as an example.
It's an interesting topic.
Were you angry reacting my post because of what I said or because of the idea that some people eat horse meat?Except the treatment of some of those horses that have served people and developed relationships with people their entire lives like retired race horses. I think it would be one thing if they were specifically domesticated for that purpose as opposed to wild Mustangs and unwanted/neglected pets or service animals. I don't know anything about horses in France though.

No no, not you, the idea. Last I checked it was still a thing in the US and Canada. I checked a while back. My other post should clarify my reasoning. I know horse meat is a historical thing though. Were you angry reacting my post because of what I said or because of the idea that some people eat horse meat?
I was using France as an example of one of the countries that actually eat horse.Except the treatment of some of those horses that have served people and developed relationships with people their entire lives like retired race horses.
