Even then...what religious purposes? Who sacrifices goats anymore? Or do they mean for trading for a wife? And who does that anymore? Too many questions...
 
Somewhere out there is a list of holidays and what animals are wanted for each. Certain age, color, horned, intact pretty long list. They pay good money for the correct animal.

Could also just be that it needs to be butchered a certain way. Sometimes it's just easier to buy and process yourself than trying to find somewhere that does it how you need

Are you referring to halal food? Cause I'm pretty sure kosher isn't goat. That which tread upon the cloven hoof is unclean
