I noticed you're from Opelousas.!! I'm originally from Krotz Springs. My dad lived there. He worked for Acadian Ambulance for a long time and I believe he lived in Opelousas for a while too after he remarried. You don't know any Tweedels by chance huh?...lol..
Not only are BCM's common, and the importation of fowl legal, but Gabbard Farms certainly isn't top notch stock. . . And the omelet price, wholesale, wow.
I should rip off my customers and charge them $180 per dozen EATING eggs. Because don't ya know, dark brown eggs are the rarest of all!! They MUST taste different from others, like brown eggs are different from white. . .

We have family in Lake Charles & we used to live in New Roads (Point Coupee parish). Sometimes I miss Louisiana, but then I remember the palmetto bugs & change my mind about going back. LOL.

Now I'm not an expert (not a BCM person period) but last I heard the "French" standard was feather legged and clean legged was the Americanized version. So if you're trying to sell you're stuff at these prices shouldn't you breed for the French standard? JMHO
