I just sold my barred rock hens that were seven months old and had been laying a month for seven dollars each. In september you can buy them for five. Even in spring unless its rare they never get above 12.
Actually one was a maran not a barred rock but the guy read my craigslist add and thought it said cukoo moron and was unusually excited to adopt a " special" chicken.

I didn't even see the original post, my girlfriend saw the couch on her way to work and told me lol. It's now in my bedroom. smells like patchouli!

63 model uncle to good home. not a hard worker, and very immature despite age. Requires air conditioned home with fenced in yard, meals to be served to him three times a day, and don't even think about useing the same food twice in a row. He does leave some mess. Only where he goes though. Does not shed badly but does have some potty training issues. Should probably be neutered and likely needs his shots. I'm not sure. I just got him two months ago.

He is absolutely free! Yep FREE!! In fact he is so free I'll pay you to take him!!!! Just don't expect him to help you keep a house clean or to get a job. I'll even throw in his bed! I don't really want to get rid of him but I just dont have time for him any more. Ok.. So the not wanting to get rid of him part is a lie. I want him gone. But I really don't have time to clean up after him.
