Yum - makes me hungry just reading your post. On the Thursday before Easter, my mom had as many of the grandkids in to color eggs as could make it (sadly, almost all are grown so it's getting sparser each year). Mom made 4 loaves of fresh bread and sliced it almost as soon as it came out of the oven for the kids and let them slather butter on it - it was exactly what her mom used to do when we were kids growing up. I will never forget those memories. Hot homemade bread with butter!

Don't you know it's illegal to post about a recipe without sharing the recipe??!!

Greenville is in western Ohio. I will try to post the recipe tomorrow. I will trade homemade bread for hatching eggs!

I attended Church every Sunday at the Odd Fellows Hall the summer of 1981 in Greenville. I was living just west of Winchester, IN on the Addington Farm at the time.

Wonderful people... there was a little country restaurant... can't remember the name... between Greenville and Winchester that made the best pork tenderloin that I've ever tasted.

I came back to check to see if there were any recipes for the bread. I don't see any. Why???

an egg timer measures temp or time for perfectly boiled eggs. soft, hard etc.

doesn't sound dumb, sounds like you wanted to learn something. that sounds smart!
