crazy but all the chicks i have hatched so far pop out on day 19. i still havent been able to figure out why. I have pekin duck eggs in my incubator now and i am wondering if they are going to last the full 28 days

What is considered high? It ran at 97-99 with 45% humidity since day one. About 2-3 times, I went in and found the temp up to 101 - always in the afternoon. I would open the top for a minute and that would bring it back down.

3 more out of their shells, one halfway out and 4 more eggs with small holes!

Got 9 healthy peeps so far. 2 more working their way out of the eggs this morning. I'm curious, The roos are EE and BO, but some of the hens are wyandotte and brahma - should all of the chicks be yellow? I would have thought the wyandotte/EE cross would have at least been a darker color or something.

I have had chicks hatch early too. One reason could be the temp was a little high during incubation or the eggs were kept in a warm place before they were put into the incubator. It is always a surprise, like a Christmas gift.
