We have a GSD and have the same issue! Almost like dog sweat in a way. After she's in and cools off she smells like normal but until then.. UGH

It could also be brewers yeast. Some dog foods contain brewers yeast, and after having too much of it, the dog will start to smell.

Same here, as long as she stays inside she's fine. Smells like apples

Not to be a party pooper but it's more than likely because you haven't smelled your dogs normal smell again until she comes back into the house. yes she may smell pleasant after you stop smelling the stinky smell, but most dogs do have a smell do them and most of us just get used to it after a while... just like if you owned ferrets... they smell, but to their owners over time they really dont notice hte scent anymore, yet if they leave home and smell their clothes they notice the odor... as do others who visit their home or smell thier clothes. It's never really gone you just stop smelling it.
