Oh, My Husband...

non taken Reyvaughn. life's too short to be offended by others' simple words... you have to take the good with the bad right?... yeah wifey's a little firery but i still like her... she has a few issues stemming from a really crappy childhood but that's another story for another time... however i would truly be a nitwit if i gave up on her...i would be lost without her
hu.gif
(for the most part anyway...) the cool thing about wifey is when it comes to power tools or electronics, she doesn't let me skimp out and would let me get the good stuff.... "need a miter saw huh? don't have one? go get one!"

ps. how hard is it to place 4 piece of board together with glue or whatever nails to make a basic enclosure? no offense to your hubby ...and a circular saw is used for sawing

speaking of cloning... wifey did mention that it'll be great (for her of course) to have another me around the house... so i can rub her right foot and the other me rub her left foot... at the same time....

thanks yall for a good laugh before bedtime... got feet rub duties tonight...hopefully it'll lead to other things

I am SO sorry, but this is the oldest man trick in the book, "But honey, I just can't do it as well as you do." Also, "Show me one more time, honey, how you do that so well?"

You need to drop your quality standards and let him learn to use those tools and build!

I would offer to come and train your man myself, but my own husband ran off several years ago, so I am not sure I am really competant.

Wait, it's also the oldest woman trick in the world! I've known more than one person (oh not me, of course! NEVER!) that used that on their husbands.

Ah the foot rubs, the *ahem* achilles heel of women everywhere. My darn DH knows this secret too, and uses it to get out of trouble every time! Of course, he IS stuck with a redhead, so maybe he gets in trouble more often than he necessarily deserves.

Wow - with all those nifty tools, what would it really matter if the DH went missing!?

Okay - are you seeing a pattern here yet? He breaks expensive tools - or looks like he might - you snatch them out of his hands. He no longer has to perform any job with that tool.

This man is GOOD!

My husband always loved our chickens, their eggs and their silly antics...he would build anything for me. Currently he is bedridden, on a respirator, needs a feeding tube, totally paralyzed including his eyelids. The only movement he can do is a slight motion of his eyes...the only way we can communicate. Those eyes lit up when I showed him our new hatchlings. He suffers from ALS (Lou Gehrig disease)...no cure. So ladies, give your husband a big hug.....

You're a beautiful person to take care of him, and involve him in things he loves.

Sorry you are going through that. You both sound like very special people.

Thank you for putting things in perspective. Sometimes we take for granted what we have, and don't appreciate them enough in the moment. I'm lucky to have a wonderful husband who is a complete partner, we both work hard at work, and share the duties at home. I DO know how lucky I am. I wasn't so lucky in my first marriage - which is why husband #1 is an EX.

Wow - thank you for sharing. ALS is one tough diagnosis. I hope you have the support you need, and I'm glad you and he have the hatchlings to play with.
