OH No, another disaster!!!!!

The funny thing is that all you guys that are arguing about elderlyness are way younger than my parents and I am 15.
Imagen that Cyn My Parents are 5 years older then you and I am 15.

Dont you mean your favorite young aunt, who doesn't look a day over 30? The one who could probably keep up with you on a mtn hike? The one who can drive a car through a parking lot without driving through the store? The one who is going to send you some nice hatching eggs if you're nice to her?? The one who is too far away to slap you across the back of the head?!

Seriously, my 86 yr old dad is still driving some and doing fine, but he has just told me that he will leave most of the heavy driving to his much younger wife now because he knows he can't see or hear the way he used to and he wants to be responsible.

Ummm....That is exactly what I meant.

Or from The Princess Bride: "He's not dead...just mostly dead." Ya'll are a hoot. I guess I should tell my 78year old Dad he is elderly and should stop doing dangerous things like driving and singlehandedly building a house.

Thanks for the laughs ya'll. I'm sorry for the OLD fellow and those he injured (glad your hubby wasn't among them Alley) but I sure needed a laugh tonight.

Well they let the our spring chicken out of the hospital today. according to the tv's news this morning they are investigating the wreck some more, for one reason or another they dont seem to think he had a heart attack. They werent real clear. And last I new the news paper hasnt said any more about it. Thet also havent said more about about the others injured anywhere either. Ole_crone actually figured out my nick name. Guess what else you all may not know? My real name is Alice, so I am always told I am off in Wonder Land. And topping it all I bet you all can guess my hair color to.

You all have figured me out!!!

Three things I notice about older (over 75) drivers, is that they have slow reaction speeds, and they know it. So they look one way...

then the other way.....

then the first way again..... . . . . . . . . .

then pull out, right in front of me.

# 2 They drive very slowly because they know they can't stop fast enough if they suddenly see something.

#3 They drive very slowly because they have ALL FREAKIN' DAY TO DO ONE ERRAND (not like me with a half-hour lunch break to do all my errands).

Not that we have any elderly drivers around here.... (sorry for the rant).

Can you tell me why an elderly person would drive 40 mph on a straight highway, and then drive 55 down a steep, winding, narrow road?
