Oh No!! hope I did not screw up my hatch.....

I just bought a 1588 as my first bator. Good to know you're have a good hatch! Now I'll know to watch for early hatchers too.

9 out 6 more pipping (noon the day after lock down) this is by far the best hatch I have every had. In the old 2352 Hovabator a few would show signs of the membrain drying out because the chick didnot zip out fast enough. The fan in the 1588 is much better. (in my opinion)

I did have these eggs in a turner on the dinning room table for about 5 or 6 days while I waited for a hatch to finnish but , I always seem to have some hatch the day after I go into lock down. Still I would recommend this bator to any one just starting incubating.

I had the same one you do and an LG also. I sold them both and bought this 1588....I will be buying a 2nd one real soon. I am also going to buy an extra bottom half and experament with it. When I was in RC modeling we use to epoxy foam to seal out the plane fuel. I'll bet that would make the bator a whole lot easier to clean and sanitize after a hatch.

And yes it is the electronic thermostat.

ok ,of the 47 eggs I went into lockdown with, only 15 are left to hatch and a good many of those eggs have already pipped. I'm going to have to do something I swore I would not do, I am going to have to remove some of the chicks. It's getting awfull crowded in the bator.

So what do you think sould I leave them or pull them?

This hatch has blown me away. The last chicken hatch I had 82 eggs at lockdown and finished the hatch with only 30 cicks. I was using a forced air Hovabator and a Forced air LG both with egg turners and this hatch using the 1588 with a turner. knowing I screwed up ( or thought I did)

by candling on the 18th day only to find pipped eggs And my hatch rate is already better with only one bator. Before you ask, the bators are in the same exact place, the room temp is the same, the humidity is the same, and I candled at 10 and 18 days. I am now a believer in the 1588.
