A Douglas Quail has decided that my garden is a perfect place to incubate her eggs. It is a safe location for them to hatch, but I'm concerned about the damage they may do in my garden when they do hatch? I would like to provide them safe escort (protection from my black lab) while they exit the yard and don't want them to return. The garden is walled in and the chicks will not have in and out access since they can't fly.

What are the laws in your area about wild quail? You might not be able to move them.

If your in the US of A I believe there is a federal law that says you can't touch them.
