We live in the middle of a couple of hundred acres of forest and had one gone for a week. She showed back up one day.

Well, I will keep hope then. My little hen was such a docile thing.

Neighbor just called and she is actually missing one, too. Her son found a rabbit bloodied and dead in the very far part of her back yard. {Sigh}

We haven't even seen any darn eggs yet.

Oh no! Are there any loose dogs around?Do you have small varmits like skunks, racoons, ferrets around?

Oh no!! I'm thinking of you and your little chickens. I so DREAD having a day like this. Hopefully they decided to take up a nice perch in a tree or some brush for the night (perhaps got scared off by something)? I so hope they are in your yard first thing in the morning pecking around wondering where the celery is...

Your birds are beautiful, I never knew polish came in those colors. Do you think someone might have taken them? Maybe someone who saw you go pick up your kids or knows you leave at that time?
