Oh nooooo...candling question...

This is my second hatch and I go into lockdown on Monday. I can see the air cell looks correct on some of my eggs but in several there is the air cell and a "U" shape that goes down from the air cell on one side of the egg. So most of it is dark like it should be except for the air sac and the U. I have a feeling this is not good but can anyone tell me exactly what this means? Thanks in advance.

Don't know what it is, but I had the same thing and just hatched all but 1 egg.

Its where the air cell detached from the egg. I'm guessing the eggs were shipped? Many of mine look like that. It's not a problem. It might decrease your hatch rate slightly, but mine have been seeming to hatch fine.
